Sadness

The wonderful director of the Wisconsin Humane Society lost her battle with cancer yesterday...mom has a hurty heart. This lady took our shelter from where it was, in a pit, literally sinking, in it's old location, to the fabulous place it is today. You can read more about her vision at their website she really was an amazing lady.

Hi zippy, sadie and speedy. We are sending you and your friend, the animal rescuer, many purrrsssssssssss and pawwwwwssss for your hurty hearts. The animals lost a good friend, but I bet there's a whole zoo and more meeting her at the Bridge! I bet she was pounced upon with head bumps and licks and purrs and barks and chirping and furry paws. She certainly earned it.

Thanks also for your post about Slinky. We sent you an email. I think Slinky's eating out of a food bowl that's in the back yard here. She still comes in the morning and then the Food Dude mysteriously goes out back with cat food, then returns with an empty cup. I eat some food outside but I think she eats it too. With the nice weather, I really want my yard back, so I am making her stay at her place when I go outside. I am a geezer cat and I have earned my right to my yard. Who knows if this is my last summer? Do not worry though - no one at this house will let a cat go hungry, including me!

Thanks for being such good cat friends to me and so many beans and animals. We really appreciate you.
