That was very sad and beautiful. Harley, who's mother was feral, could have so easily suffered a similar fate. There are so many "Smalleys" in this world.
What a sad story, but true, we do have foster homes here to keep the animals until adopted, also animal shelters that put them to sleep. We really have to educate people to have their pets spaded or neutered.

Your mom bean is the best because of all the care she gives to all of you and so many other kitties. I wish she would call up our neighbor and tell her to take care of Slinky! Thanks to all of the good advice we got from your mom and the other cats and people, and the Animal Cops in San Francisco, we know what to do with Slinky.
