What mom? Oh, we gots mail! Oh boy, it's our prize fur sugjesting a new name fur our frend Dragonhearts blog. He's getting a little brother you know, mom, and he's acited about it. No mom, I wasn't going to ask why I can't haf a little brother...how about a little sisfur? Um, okay, I know, three's enuff... Whatcha gots Sadie? What do yoo mean "it's mine" we is apposeta share... Get away, it's mine! Go ask Zippy to give back one of da two mousies she stole outa da packaje...Yoo already haf a catnip banana, yoo know yoo neffur share it, yoo banana hog... Dis catnip candy cane is mine! I rasseled it and bunnykicked it and den I collapsed on top of it and den I wore it like a mink stole cuz da curvy part fits over my neck just purrfect! Thank you Dragonheart, we love our prezzies.
Oh, and Zippy was out almost all night Monday cuz dad let her out at 2 am and he thinks he was sleep walking or sumthing cuz dat was weerd...Mom asked when she got up where she was hiding cuz usually she is sleeping on her Gizzy Kwilt and she wasn't der and he said I don't know so mom went looking fur her and noticed her leash wasn't by da back door so she opened da door and Zippy came flying in! She hasn't been outside since. hehehe
And if yoor wondering, mom and dad are working on der "thing". Turns out dad was going to surprise mom and retire at the end of the year, then he started checking on health insurance fur the two of them and becawse of his diabetes it is furry spensive! Dat got him all freaked out. Where he works dey have been working 10-12 hour days 5 days a week fur about a year now and dey say it's not gonna change any time soon. Den dey said dat no one could ask fur a Friday or a Monday vacation day. Dad is getting tired, he sez all deze hours are "a young mans game" and he doesn't want to do it anymore. Mom unnerstands dat. He sez dat if dey gets health insurance der will be no extra money fur anything else and if mom wants spending money she should get a job. Mom sez he's just a cheap %!@^@*$ . But yeah, she sees where he's worried about da insurance thing. She said maybe dey should start selling his junk on ebay like he keeps saying he's going to do. Dey are haffing a conference call wif der financial planner guy on Friday...and mom sez dad hast go back to dat dingy doctor and get his meds changed cuz dey isn't helping his freekouts and crabbiness at all. Don't tell dad, but if mom could find a part time job wif insurance she would take it. Mom just can't go back to working full time and taking care of everything here, it's just to much. Don't bother saying dad should pitch in, he's useless for a lot of reasons. He tried to make up wif mom today, he came home from work early cuz of da big snowstorm which turned out to be nothing big, about 6 inches of snow. He brawt mom a box of chocolate covered cherries, when he got home mom was just finishing up wif da snow clean up so he asked her how much longer she would be...mom said don't worry, she already had dinner out and he wouldn't miss a meal, she'd be done in about half an hour. So, dad came in and started up all da stuff mom already had ready to go fur dinner and HE DREW HER A BATH! She came in and was really surprised, cuz what she said to him was kinda mean. So mom gots to soak in a hot tub and den eat taco pie! Den she played wif us and read a little to us.

Awwww, your daddy is really a sweetheart. We are glad that they made up, and we hope that their financial planner can help them with this. Mommy can 'preciate how important health insurance is....but we hope that your mommy doesn't hafta do full time work, that sounds like mommy would be away from you all for way too long!

I hope it works out so your dad can retire and stay home with you! My beans say working is a drag, and they're tired of it, too! They say they're too old.
Looks like you got some cool toys!
I am so happy that your dad is being nicer to your mom and working things out. Maybe a PT job for your mom would be a good compromise. If your dad stays home and takes care of stuff at home while she works PT, it might be even less work for your mom!
I'm glad your package arrived! Yay! :) Enjoy your new toys. :)
I can see why your dad wants to retire when he's working those long hours. That's just crazy. I hope your mom can find a part-time job with health insurance, or that they can work out the insurance some other way.
Oh, well...
Chocolate covered cherries -
That changes EVERYTHING!
(ML is easily distracted by chocolate covered nuts, chews and fruits. We know this because we watched her eat TWO pounds of See's candy in four days last weekend.)

Your toys are nice and it looks like you had lots of fun!
Your Dad was nice, but needs to do that on a regular basis. It's too easyto "say"Sorry. 'Member, actions speak louder than words.Health insurance is important.
Maybe he can be better :)

I am glad things are going smoother and hope that things work out all the way @. Thank you for stopping by my Xanga. Glad Zippy returned safely after her nite out. Purrs Pepper the Cheetah
Well good luck, but I don't think that your mom will find a part time job with insurance. It's hard enough finding full time job with insurance according to my bean.
Your mom has had a rough couple of days but at least your dad is making up with her now. *Sigh* it just is not easy for moms these days.
Oh, what a great looking new toy. It's always nice to get new toys, isn't it?!
Speedy dear, tell Zippy she must not go out any more. It's too cold now.
Love,
Misty
I so glad they are really trying to work it out. Sounds like your Dad is trying...they just sometimes don't know how to do it.

Oh man, I'm glad things are goin' well for you guys, at least, with a great package of new toys. Your momma needs a Secret Paws to send her a box of toys, I think. I hope your daddy gets his head on straight soon and makes better decisions with your momma's advice. It sounds like he is trainable, since he knows how to buy chocolates and make a Bean bath.
Your buddy, Jimmy Joe
I'm glad your mommy and daddy are talking things out . . . and I am super glad he has sense enough to be super sweet to her and try to make up!
That was a great prize from Dragonheart!
Oh Zippy
I am so hippity hoppity happy dat yur Mommie and Daddy are werkin fings out. It sounds reel gud! We hopes yur Daddy will be able to reetire soon, werkin all dem hrs is not gud furr no bean. Our Daddy wants to reetire reel bad cuz he juss dee-vell-upped sumfing called Par-can-ism not like dat acktor Micheal J Fox he don't trembowl, but he is havin a hard time movin. Momma is havin to take ofur moore of da stuffs round here and it is a lot of werks. So we hasta purr reel hard and hopes dat der is a chrissmousey meer-a-cool.

We are so happy that your parents are working things out. Sometimes it just take some time to find the solution. We are sending you all purrs!
And congrats on the prizes! I like to bunnykick candy canes also.

We are glad things are working out for your humans. That is good.
We are so glad your Mom and Dad are working on what they need to do! Being a Bean is such hard work! Zippy do not go outside! It is very cold! We are glad you made it back inside.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
Your FL furiends,
PS: I have not heard from Peach in forever and I would like to find someone who is like Tigger with Trixie! They always have such fun together! :sigh: Sam
Zippy, weren't you cold?! Yikes! If Daddy did that, he'd be in super big trouble. hee hee
Momma says taco pie, chocolate covered cherries, and a bath sounds super nice.
We hope they get their jobbie things worked out soon.
Love,
Tazo
Oh, we're so happy to hear your dad is trying so hard to make up to your mom! My mom said if she could find a manbean who would bring her chocolate covered cherries and draw her a bath, we'd have a dad!
Rocky
I'm so glad your Mum and Dad are talking about things! Sometimes you just have to shake things up a bit. That was real thoughtful of your Dad to make supper, give your Mum chocolates and draw her a bath. I wish them all the best!
We just caught up on your week! Wow. Sounds like your poor mom went through a lot!!! Tell her that the Woman (on a very small scale) knows how she was feeling. The Awesome Man was really useless while she was getting better- he complained when she was getting sick and was tired of how things weren't normal. He was rude and she wanted to punch him. She says men just are different....
Chase
You got wonderful presents! That candy cane cat nip toy looks like a lot of fun.
I'm glad your Mom and Dad are talking about their problems. I hope they can get it all worked out together, deciding what they're going to do. Paying for health insurance on your own is very expensive.
I'm so glad your Daddy at least wants to make things better! That helps. Maybe instead of retirement he should be looking at just a different job? It sounds like the place he is at is yucky, maybe somewhere else is better. So many people that retire get board and depressed unless they stay active, him doing something more enjoyable might be just what you both need! ~Queen Snickers
Tell your mum not to let him off lightly. treat them mean and keep them keen. honestly - it works for feline/human relationships so why not human/human? x
What wonderful toys you received from Dragonheart! Your candy cane is so cute! I'm really glad that Zippy came back in from the cold. And I'm especially glad that your dad was being so nice to your mom - I hope everything works out.
Purrrrrs, China Cat
We are glad that your Daddy is being nicer to your Mommy now. Sometimes people need to fight to start to compromise - but tell your Mommy that after what he said she deserves more and should demand it - we mean, he didn't bring her any nip at all! Demand more treats before forgiving him we say!!
Oh at least he's trying. A little effort can go along way. I don't think cats and sharing really go along very well. The most one can hope for is that the sister or brother forgets about the desired object and another can just steal it during that occasion. That's what I do at least.
I guess yur dad's ok after all, but why are men so dense at sayin they's sorry? I hopes the money adviser can help.
I can't repeat the werds Mom has fur insurance companies. Since she an Dad bof werk, she's always tryin to figger out which insurance will cost less considerin the doctors an meds fur the boy.
What's so speshul bout drawin a baf? My boy draws stuff alla time. Mostly he draws trains, not bafs.
Dis iz a tery-bull ting dat da beanz has to work demselvz into titherz. I justee can't undrstand it, 'cuz I justee layz around on my back. I suggest dat da beanz do da same...BUT, den, who will bring home da kibblez??? Da momee iz sick & tired of workin' full time & commutin.' & she haz anudder squillion yearz to go until retiremnt, evfun though she iz az old az Egypt.
Zippy! That sounds like fun to me! I almost spent last night outside too but Mom would have had something called "caniptions" so my Daddy made me come in.
I hope things work out for your Mom and Dad. We are having some financial troubles too but my Daddy doesn't have the same attitude your Dad has. Unfortunately we also do not have a financial planner or anything saved for retirement because of a lot of things that have happened. It is kind of scary!
Maybe your Mom should take a regular job for a while and start some savings in her own name. It will be hard for her but it sounds as if she needs to start thinking in terms of "my" future, not "our" future. (You know you would be part of hers!) As has been said in other comments, it is the actions that count, not just the words.
Oh yes ... my woofies are very nice! Sushi likes to play with us. Zeke likes to stop us kitties from wrestling, especially if we hiss at each other. I expect to weigh as much as they do soon!
I am really really glad for you and your daddy~! Altough I could just watch here and only doing worry~~~~
But I love to know things are a little bit smooth now~~
I am also happy for you to get wonderful package~!!
