Wigging out Wednesday...

Thank you all for your help. The pictures are on the card when it's plugged into our card reader (any of the four) but they don't display on the camera. Funny, they show up on the readers but the camera says the card is empty. That's what dad wants, he wants to view them from the camera. When we asked why, he said because he wants to and he should get what he wants....huh?
This is where mom wishes she were...
Last night daddy brought mom's camera home (finally) and said der were some pikshers from work on it dat he wanted on da puter. So mom loaded dem on da puter, and erased da card, just like she always does. Den dad started yelling and slamming stuff and wanted to know "where da hell da pikshers were" so mom went in and showed him...he said "no, the ones on the camera" um, they're on the puter dad-sheesh. Anyway, dad din't want them erased (he din't say dat) and now mom is frantically trying to get da pikshers back on da memory card. She thot she cood just plug it in and rite clicky da piksher and send it to da 'F' drive (dats da card) and dat din't work so she started searching da innernets fur a way to do it and all she found were softwares dat cost green papers and she don't wanna pay no green papers fur 7 stupid pikshers ::gasp:: so, she's asking fur any help dat anyone can give her to get dad's pikshers back so he stops being an oger! He effun called on his morning brake and asked if she got them back on there yet! So pleeze, pleeze, pleeze if anyone knows how to do this cood yoo tell mom....Thank you

MOM CAN HELP! Maybe.
CompUSA an efun office stores haf memory card readers that plug into the USB port and use the camra's memory card just like one of them USB memory sticks. You has to get the rite one fur the card (CF, SD). Then it's just anofur drive. Device is ~$10 depending on card.

Option 2: Can you burn the pictors to a CD for him? Then you can transfer them to anofur puter.

Option 3: Open a free Flickr account, upload the photos there, and he can download them at werk.

Email us if you need help! bonnie_victor.cats at yahoo dot com.

I tried just now and I got a picture to transfer off the computer back onto the camera card. I have a printer that the card plugs into and a picture editing program that allows me to do it. Whether your card plugs in the printer or computer shouldn't matter. Just go into your photo editing program, choose a picture and use "save as" to the drive used by your camera card. That's how I got it to work. Good luck! Let me know if it works.

Maybe you can just e-mail the pictures to your daddy as attachments? Then he can download them wherever he wants? That's my only idea, because I am a computer dummie.

We always erase the pictures from the memory card as soon as we transfer them to the computer so it doesn't get all filled up!

No help here. Mom gets cranky too, when the pictures go missing and she can't find them. "Foot long fuzzy", you guys are a hoot, but is sounds good to me. Hope your dad finds the pictures.
Be blessed,

Sounds like the camera can't tell the files are back on the card, like a catalog isn't updated.
Ok, pull each picture up on screen and TAKE A NEW PICTURE OF IT!!!
Think he'd go for that?
PS He needs some attitude adjustment. If frogs could fly, they wouldn't bump their butts.

I plug my camera in, but have also just plugged the card in. Either way, go to My Computer when either is plugged in (if the camera, remember to power it on). Then find the drive assignment for the camera/card. You can then just drag and drop the pictures from Windows to the icon representing the camera/drive.
Hopefully this will work.
We're with Daisy, we always take our photos off the card ASAP and transfer to the computer hard drive and a backup.

Sounds like everyone has this problem figured out. I was going to suggest burning them to a cd, but someone already did.
