Thankful (for mom) Thursday

Mom sure has been bizzy lately. Just in da nick of time she helped da other colonies lady put da thermal wraps on da kitty houses and get da heated water dishes put out and she went wif Nick to da skool colony and helped him set up da heaters and stuff and wrap dem shelters too. She just finished on Monday and, wham, we get a big snowstorm Tuesday night and now it's freezy cold outside. On top of dat da wheelie woofie is staying here fur awhile. Yeah, I know, we sed no way but, well, he gots no where else to go except back to a cage at da shelter and not even a woofie deserves dat when dey is hurted. He's really not so bad, I gess when mom stopped on da way to da vet it was da first time he'd been outta a cage fur more den a few minits and he went kinda nuts. When she came back in da afternoon wif him he was kwieter and kinda tired so he just curled up on da kitchen rug and went to sleep. Zippy came in and sniffed him and din't hiss or anything so dat meant he was okay. It took mom a couple days to get him to stop sticking his cold nose in our booties and to sleep thru da night but after dat it's kinda nice to haf him around. Mom took him with her dis morning to learn how to do his fizikal therapee. She told da shelter she can do it cuz she's been doing Zippy's ever since she had her foots serjeree 12 years ago. She din't tell dem dat she's been doing it already cuz of dat and he's been using his back leg to get around da house after she gets home too. I'm tired now so I'm gonna go curl up in da crate wif Wheelie and take a nap. Here's Zippy to complain, er, tell yoo what mom haf been up to fur da last week or so. Zippy...

Thanks goofy, I mean Speedy. Mom hasta get up a half hour early to take da little woofie outside to potty. Den she does alla our morning stuff, food, fresh water, pawsersizes fur me, brushies fur da other two den she goes off to da shelter. At about 11 or 11:30 she comes home, fixes dad lunch (he sez it's brekfast cuz he din't eat...yeah, right dad, no one beleeves dat) den she goes to see Mrs T, den she's been going to do stuff at da colonies, comes home, does PT on da woofie, and lets him run around wifout da wheels and changes dad's dressings (cuz six months out from serjeree he's still not all da way healed up). While dat is going on she makes dinner, throws in some laundry den washes da dishes and in between alla dat she lets us visit some of our frends in da CB. When da woofie first got here he wouldn't sleep all night and kept waking her up cuz he sleeps in a crate wif da door open in her room but after da first couple nights he gots used to it and now he sleeps all night! Oh, and he's 6 months old, not 4, so he's not gonna be furry big. Now, da thing is, he is not staying furever. Der are already beans inkwiring about 'dopting him. Today, she got up at 4 am and went out and cleared snow offa da driveway and sidewalks and even a little bit of grass so me and Squirt (dat is da woofies real name, we just been calling him wheelie) would haf a spot to do our bizness. So, mom is very tired. We may not visit tomoro and maybe da next day, but after dat mom sez things are gonna be easier and she'll be around more and not so tired so we may even get to visit AND comment! Why? Because Mrs T is going home wif her son until after New Years! It's good fur Mrs T and good fur mom too. And dad's booboo haf stopped leaking so much and now it takes her only a few minits to clean and bandage. Here is da piksher of Squirt from da shelter website... Isn't he adorable? Well, we think he is. Mom would keep him but she sez dat after a week of taking him out to potty three times a day she amembered why she did not get another dog after Teddy went to da bridge. But while he's here we sure are enjoying him! Mom would take a piksher of him sleeping in da crate wif Speedy but she can't find her kamera, again!
