We have more catoons!

Okay, we'z been lazy around here...dad quit smoking on da last day of work, um, lessee, dat was December 28th. So, he has not had a stinky stick in 8 days. He has already saved $70.00! So, as a treat he bawted some new cartoons. Tom and Jerry is grate! He also gots one of Daffy Duck as Duck Rogers in the 24th and 1/2 Century. Dat one has a silly martian guy in it and dey is always disintrigrating each other. So, our new ruteen includes getting up a cuppul hours later but we still get da food/stretch/brush stuff. Den mom and dad haf breakfast together and sometimes we gets to haf bacon or some scrambled eggs but usually dey eat oatmeal (yuck) or cereal. Dad finally gots mom's cutting table all da way cleaned off so she has been working on dat wedding dress thing on der. We get a nap wif dad in da afternoon, den one wif mom after his...dad's is longer but he moves around more den mom. Oh, mom finally found her camera yesterday, it was in dad's coat pocket in da front closet! Well, it's only been a little over a week dat dad has actually been retired but so far it seems to be working out pretty well. Even tho he just quit smoking he hasn't been to cranky and mom has only threatend to smother him in his sleep becawse she sed he was stinking up da bedroom one night...he thawt it was funny, she din't. I recently took a trip to da basement to check things out and yoo would not beleeve da jinormus pile of laundry down there. Mom and dad have been sniffing things and going "peeyoo" a lot, but they keep throwing them down the laundry shoot and den not washing them...mom really needs to get back to doing her house stuff. Well, now dat she sed to dad "okay, vacation is over buddy, time for you to get to work" maybe she will too. Of course, we'll need to snoopervise and that will require more napping and extra treats...hehehehe

New cartoons sound great! :) Congratulations to your dad on quitting smoking! Our dad quit when he met our mom, since my mom didn't want to date a smoker.

Eight days is a great start, I think that might be past the hardest part. But I am not sure. I know that saving $70 is very good!

It sounds like when they do get back to work, you two will have a lot of snoopervising to do!

Can you believe it, my girl human actually likes doing the laundry - she must be mad. She hates the ironing though so everything is clean around here but very crumpled. Sometimes I sleep on things just to try and get some of the wrinkles out. FAZ

Congratulations on quitting smoking! Our Lady's got relatives she can't visit because she's so allergic to cigarette smoke. It makes her break out in hives all over her arms. Plus, she can smell it on anything. The Allergic Girl visited a friend yesterday whose Grandma smoked and the Lady had to open the windows in the car. She can even smell if mail comes from a smoker's house. So YAY fur your dad!!!

Wow, you've been through a lot of changes. I'm sorry your routine is all changed, but I'm sure you'll have better days soon. My Dad bean is retired and he's home almost all the time, except when he goes out to the farm to feed the lonely, starving kitties that get dumped out there. That's his passion, feeding the ferals, and yaking with his farmer friends.

He takes a lot of naps, too.
I don't have routine around here cause my beans don't have a set routine, either. I get fed when somebody gets up....and the fact that I sing loud enough.

Hugs to all three of ya...G

Hi, guys, sorry I haven't been around much because SS is busy (read inefficient). Congrats to your dad for giving up the stinky sticks! Bet your mom is happy! You'll soon get used to the new routine, especially if you get to have bacon and eggs.

Who's getting married? We are having a family wedding tomorrow. With all the fuss, SS's mother says that SS can elope, if she wants, with her blessings. I think SS is too lazy for that!

Oh my goodness, I don't think I could handle the upset! It makes me feel faint just reading about what's going on with you. Congratulations to your dad for quitting those sticks...I think it's a whole lot harder than giving up nip!
