Mom saved Olivers life....

She did. Yesterday, Sunday, she wuz leefing fur church eerly in da morning. She heered a thud and a car door and then sum ladee came to da driveway and asked if dat little oranj cat wuz ders. It wuz Oliver (achooaly his name is Ah Lover, cuz he's such a lover cat). He gots out of his howse and ran in da road. For doze of yoo who don't know, Oliver lifs in da howse behind ours. He and Zippy are buddies, dey sit in da windows and "talk" and whin dey is out on der walks wif da mommies dey touch nozes and stuff. Dey haf been in der respektif howsholds fur da same amount of time, 10 years, and dey haf been frends since da beginning.
Oh, sorry I got off on da memory fing. So, Oliver is laying in da road, not moving but panting and obviusly in pain. Daddy ran into da house and gots a kitty transport prison boks and a blanky. Dey loaded Oliver in der metal monster and drove (fast, but not to fast) to da 'merjensee vet wif da ladee dat hit him following. Whin dey gots to da hospitul da ladee, Monique, insisted on putting da charges fur Oliver on her plastic money card. Turns out she's a furry nice ladee dat lifs only 2 blocks away. So, while dey is asessing Oliver mom gets on da fone thing and calls Germaine (Oliver's mom) to tell her whut happend. Turns out dey were looking fur him a'cuz dey gots a new washer and dryer masheen and dey moved da vent frum one side of da howse to da uver and put sum plastik over da old hole and da plastik wuz missing and so wuz Oliver. Germaine rushed over to da hospitul and she wuz crying and stuff and dat made mommy cry. Dats rite, mom is uzually pritty kewl in a 'merjencee but seeing Germaine crying made her cry and dat also made Monique cry. Finally mom sez crying izint gonna fix Olly and it'z gonna make dem dehidrate so just stop it, and dey did. Den Germaine sed she haf da VPIpet Inshuranz dat mom tolded her about so da bill will be covered but Monique sed she wood be responsibul acuz she hit Olly and she felted bad, so dey worked it out and dey are going hafs on da bill. It took a long time and den da doktor camed out and sed dat Olly had a broked leg and a rupshered diafram and had to haf serjery like RIGHT DAT MINIT!
So, Oliver is in da hospitul for prolly at leest a week and he has pins and stuff holding his leg togeffur and dey hasta watch him breeve and stuff. Zippy wants to know if she iz allowed to bisit wif him cuz he's her frend but momma sez prolly not but she will ask da 'merjensee vet place. I fink Olly wanted to bisit Zippy and whin Zippy wuzent in da window he desided to explore. It's not all bad. Mom and Gerry made a new frend and Olly will be fine, not perfect, but he still haz his leg and iz alive. And daddy went ovur to Gerry's howse and filled da vent hole and put a new peece of siding on so Olly can't get out again.
Oh, and Pastor Ken, dats why momma wuzent in church yesterday, just in case yoor reeding dis (and he duz sumtimes) and wundering where she wuz.

Oh, and it finally snowed here last night. Mom duzent like it, she sez dat it just means more work fur her and bad driving cuz some beans eefur forgit how to drive in it or are new and don't know how to drive in it. We sugjested she just stay home wif us but she sed she had a lot of stuff to do at werk and maybe if she gots it done she wood come home eerly, we'd like dat.

Update: Mom's home, der is sumfing wrong wif a serfer (?) at her werk. She did gets lots of 'offline' stuff done like filing and filling out uver forms and printing reports fur her meeting tomoro but no reel werk. It's still snowing! Mom sez daddy will hafta get out the loud snow eeten monster whin he gets home. And she called Germaine at her werk and da ladee der sed she took a hafa day bacashun to go see Oliver. Dey won't let Zippy bisit for at least 4 deys but den she iz welcome to go see her frend. And he'z gonna be der fur 10 to 14 dayz, dats a furry long time.

Hooray for the Kattonic Mum! You have furry good humans, they are the best kind of humans to have. Oliver was a furry lucky kitty that there were so many people around looking out for him. Give him some get-well purrs from me! (And ask him if he wants to join the Gorgeous Gingers club, if he is orange)

Al Lover is ferry lucky dat the lady whos hit him is a cat lover herself, she may not hab cats, but to be so nice as to get him help and also help wif da bills, she has to be a cat lover.
We's will keep him in our purrayers and foughts. Glad to hear he will be okay.
