We've gotten to know a little bit about Carol, Brandi's mom, too. She and my husband both suffer from diabetes. This is a horrible disease. It affects every part of your body and life. It can be debilitating and not having a job and a financial support system (in the form of family) can only make it worse. She needs us, I know this because my husband was out of work for 4 1/2 years and it wasn't because he wasn't trying. Some employers look at the disease and not the person. He had my support, both moral and financial, as well as my father-in-laws. His brother kept saying mean things like he wasn't really trying and why didn't he work at McDonalds or someplace like that. They wouldn't hire him, again, they look at the disease and see the costs to them and not the person in front of them. He got lucky, my brother-on-law got him a job where he was working. It took a lot of "encouragement" on his part to get them to understand that my hubby wasn't "diseased" and that he would be a benefit to the company. I know if they could that Carol's family would help, they just can't right now. Please, she really needs the support of this wonderful cat blogging community. I hope no one takes offense at this, it isn't meant to guilt or push someone to donate. I just know she can use some help and that all of you are wonderful people who want to help. Even if you can't send money, send up a prayer and zap some good energy Carol's way. She really needs it! So, go over to Skeezix's and donate if you can.
Thank you
Zippy, Sadie and Speedy's mom

Mom just visualized her in a glowing white light while I crossed my paws.
Yes, it's hard enough to get a good job when you are in good health and even harder when you have a "condition". I am hoping and praying very hard for Carol and I send her a little money when I can.
Meowm and I have been very worried about Brandi and her Mom. We can't send money right now so we have been purraying up a storm.
we're gonna do sum more challenges, an plus there's a big deal fundraising event in the works. it's gonna be lotsa fun!
Mama and I have not been able to read stuff on blogger for a few days (Thursday Google just said wait 30 seconds over and over and over, and that wasn't our being busy or anything--we gave up after we posted, which it did let us do).
But we really appreciate all the good purrayers and good thoughts and money and stuff. No one in mama's family can help in any other way, either. And we never asked for help from our blogging friends, but it has left us humble, and very grateful, since it has meant keeping a roof over our heads and getting foodies and stuff a lot easier.
Every job that mama thinks she can do and can get to (she doesn't have a car monster) she tries for. She has even tried three times at her last place. If anyone knows a place here that would give mama a chance, she's a good worker. She needs enough money to pay rent and the bills and stuff, and needs good medical insurance so she can keep healthy.
Anyway, thank you everyone. We love you all soo much.
