Where were we!

Hi! We is sorry we haf been gone fur so long...we'ze blaming it on mom. She's been super bizzy taking care of foster kittens, yard work, trying to keep da garage from falling down (some skwirrels pulled boards off da back wall!) and trying to keep alla us from living in filth...or so she says. We do know dat toward da end of June der was a hub bub outside dat we only gots to watch from da windows. Der was a kitty in a tree and it had been der for 4 days so finally mom came and gots da big 'stenchun ladder and climbed up 25 or so feet and gots da kitty down. Da naybors was impressed but not us, we seen mom climb up on our roof to fitz da t.v. ant-tenny. Den der were all deze meetings wif lawyers, she is a witless, er, witness to a lady being attaked by another and getting hurted. If yoo amember some teenage girl went nuts and throwed garbage cans around da back room at da shelter. She cracked a cuppul of dat poor ladies vertif, berta, um, back bones. Anyway, she's still kinda bizzy but not gone alla time now which is really good cuz it keeps daddy from turning da cold air machine down to 'feeze da kitties'. Dis is what I hadda do to stay warm even tho it was almost 90 degrees outside.

See, dat is where dad spends a lot of time during da day. Mom sez he's da laziest human on da planet, we haf to agree. Zippy's Gotcha Day was on July 4th and we hadded a little private party here. Da funny thing is mom haf been trying to get her to eat more fur da last 12 years but Zippy only eats little bites here and der and haf neffur wayed over 6 1/2 pounds. Now, alla sudden, she is shoving us outta da stinky goodness and eating almost alla it by herself, mom akshooally hasta open a second can fur Sadie and me! And when it comes time fur treats she is da first one der, and dat is on top of her morning sour cream addikshon! She's playing more now too. She likes to hide around corners and jump out at me, really, sometimes she will chase me all da way down into da dunjun and den back up again. We don't know what haf gotten into her but we like it. Oh, and when it's time fur bed she climbs up next to me on da office chair and cuddles FOR ALL OF 5 MINITS, den she pushes me off and goes to sleep...good thing I'm always welcome on mom's bed. Well, time to go see if I can sleep in da chair or if Zippy will take it over.
