What's up Wednesday

So, last week da blower motor on da furnace broke, meaning da air conditioner din't work. It was da night afore da hottest day of da year. Doods, we almost died from da heat! Mom and dad put in da new motor on Saturday and yoo shoulda seen dem, dey looked like dey had taken showers wif der clothes on. Dey was really cranky too, dey shoulda done what we did and layed in front of da fans. A couple weeks ago mom did a transfer from one shelter to another of a bunch of dogs, dad went wif her. It's about an hour drive round trip and about an hour to off load and get da intake papers and stuff all done so mom does dis a lot cuz she's gots da time. Any way, dey were taking puppies der and about 15 minits into da trip one of da little guys got sick and barfed, okay, no problem but den he ::whispers - pooped:: and dad hadda pull over really fast cuz he was about to barf from da smell. So, mom takes da cage out and gets da woofie cleaned up wif some baby wipes she keeps in da van fur just dis. As she's taking da weewee pad outta da cage a State Patrol car pulls up ahind dem and da cop comes up and sees alla dem woofies in da van and mom holding a little guy and trying to wipe out poopies in da cage while holding da puppy and asks her what's going on. Mom tolded him, showed him da papers fur da shelter and HE HELPED HER CLEAN UP DA POOPIES! He even held da little woofie while mom double bagged da pad and clean up stuff. He was furry nice and sed he thawt maybe his son would like da little woofie and maybe dey would hafta go to da shelter and see about 'dopting him fur da boys 9th birthday. He even thanked mom fur looking after da aminals fur da shelter. As a volunteer mom gets thanks effury day from da employees der cuz effury thing dat mom and da other volunteers do is one less thing dey hafta do but to get a thank you from da public, and a cop no less, made her feel really good. Well, we hope dat in about a week or so mom will haf more time to help us visit and stuff. We want to enter Monty's Doing the Q contest too, would dis piksher work?

Sorry to hear the pup had poopies and pukies and so did your dad (well, almost). That copper seems like a furry nice man and hopefully one of the pups your mom was transporting, will be his sons birthday pressie. We think your picture is GRRR-8.

I really enjoyed reading this post. I love your pic all stretched out, too. In fact, the looks like a Paws pic to me. You should put it in the Anipal Photo Hunt! Instructions are on my blog or at facebook.com/anipalphotohunt.

That is some story. Kudos to the nice cop! And to your mom for volunteering to help do things like transfer from one shelter to another.

We hope both your folks are doing well. We did a double take when we saw your furnace blower broke. Who has their furnace running in this weather? But then we read the rest and we understood. And sympathized with all of you. This is not the time for your ac to die.

It sounds like we are living in parallel universes! Our cold air blowy thingy died on July 4, which was our hottest day of the year. We had sick foster kittehs at the time, so Mom shelled out the moolah to get it fixed on a holiday weekend. And the poopy transport is way too familiar!!! How nice of the police officer to help you out.
