(not so) Thankful Thursday

I went to da vet on Wednesday...Let me start at da beginning. I haf IBD and lots of food sensitivities. Dat means dat anything, and sometimes nothing, can upset my tummy. I haf neffur had well formed poops, not since da first day I came here. Oh, dey gots a little more solid after mom experimented wif food and supplements. Dad sez I'm "not cheap to keep" but dey love me so dat is what dey do fur me. On Saturday I had really skwirty poop, mom gave me an extra dose of slippery elm. On Sunday morning dey was like brown water coming out and, dis is furry embarassing, I couldn't make it to da box and pooped on mom's bed. Den it happened again so mom gave me more stuff dat usually helps but it din't and I pooped on da mattress cover and after mom took dat off to wash she covered her bed wif a vinyl tablecloth and I pooped on dat too. So, she called Dr J right away Monday morning and asked her to see me and da only poyntment she hadded was Wednesday. I put up a purrty good fight about going into da PTU and howled all da way der. I was good fur Dr J tho, she's furry purrty and haf a nice way of talking to me. Anyway, I haf losted 13 oz. she sez it is a good start but dat I'm still a "big guy", isn't it nice dat she thinks I'm a big guy...and she called me sweet and hansum too. Well, she looked at my poops, skweezed me, looked in my eyes, ears, mouth and took my tempachure. Dey do dat in our ears so we don't get no stoopid thing in our spot 13 anymore. She did look at my spot 13 tho and dat was kinda embarassing so I stuck my head unner moms arm until she was done back der. She thinks I haf a overgrowth of bak-teer-iya in my tummy and gave mom some of da most awful stuff I haf ever had...Metronidazole! Mom hafta give me a haf a pill twice a day. She coats it in butter and shoves it all the way behind my tung and den she skwirts water in my mouf and I hafta swallow! I hate it and mom hates it and dad just laffs acuz after she does it I am mad at her fur a couple hours. After dis mornings pill he found me sitting in da hall and he took dis piksher..Yeah, I look real happy don't I...It's horribul what mom is putting me thru, but on da other paw, I'm already feeling better. I did take a nap wif her dis afternoon and she rubbed my ears and called me her hansum guy and kissed my nose so I know she still loves me even tho she is a terrible person to tortchure me wif dem stoopid pills.
