Sadness on Krissmouse Eve

We don't wanna be a downer today but Nick called mom dis morning (5:30 am) and he was crying, mom could tell. He found one of da colony cats dead inside one of da shelters! Last night was a bad night, wind, snow, sleet...as dad sez "not fit for man nor beast". When he got der dis morning der was one shelter wif three kitties inside, frendly ones, he reached in to rub ears and discovered dat two of dem were either garding, or trying to keep warm, one dead kitty. Mom sez it was an older cat and she thinks he went peacefully in his sleep. Mom took him to da vet dat took care of fixing da colony and he said he would take care of him...mom don't wanna know how so she did not ask. Poor Nick, he's purrty upset, when mom left him he was shoveling around da feeding station and crying! She called his parents and told dem what happened, dey were purrty sad too as dis is Nick's project from da beginning. *sigh* We is gonna say a little purrayer fur da old guy at da Bridge. Bet he's making frends der right now..at least he won't hafta face da cold, heat and rainy days anymore.

I'm so sorry; life is so hard for feral kittehs with no homes. Nick has a kind heart. I hope he feels gladness that he can make their lives a little easier.

We are sad that the kitty went to the Bridge and we are sad that it makes Nick so unhappy. He has to remember how much better he has made the lives of the feral kitties. The kitty that went to the Bridge knew that Nick cared for him.

That is sad! Thankfully, there are others whose lives are being saved with Nick's help. It's a wonderful project.

Oh but the oldster left this world surrounded by warm love and furry friends...he knew that. Hugs to precious Nick and lots of warm wishes for peace on earth and a home for every kitty filled with love be it in a home or a shelter built with love....
Love your friends from the cozy cottage

We are sorry for your sadness, but we are thankful that because of kind souls like you and Nick this kitty was able to pass peacefully in warmth and shelter, knowing that there are good people in this world.

The passing of a kitty always makes AAB all leaky and makes my tail droop a bit. . . but the kitty is living his new life at the Bridge for Christmas. These things happen, and Nick is doing wonderful works for kitties by letting them live their lives in shelter and comfort.

We are sorry ta hear about the kitty what went over the Bridge. But when it is time, it is time.

At least he had friends who garded him and was with him and Beins who cared about him. Thats important. Who can ask fer more than that?
