Jeff...

Extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphomas - mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas: This type makes up 8% of lymphomas. Most MALT lymphomas start in the stomach. They are thought to stem from an infection by bacteria called Helicobacter pylori. This lymphoma can also develop in other sites like lung, skin, thyroid, salivary gland, small or large intestine, breast, and tissues surrounding the eye. In those cases, the cancer is called nongastric MALT lymphoma. Usually MALT lymphomas are confined to the area where they began and are not widespread. The average age for patients with this lymphoma is 60. It is a slow-growing lymphoma and often can be put into prolonged remission and possibly cured in its early stages

This is the cancer Jeff had, we say had cuz he gots it removed. Da doctor is 100% positive all of it was removed. Just to be absolutely certain it is gone Jeff hasta haf a chemo of antiobiotics dat kills da bacteria dat causes dis kinda cancer. It's very hard on da digestive system, but won't make his hair fall out or make him so tired like the other kinds of chemo. He went yesterday, on a holiday, because as da doctor sez, cancer doesn't take holidays. Now he gets to take da medi-sin at home and just go to get tested in 15 days to make sure all dat hell-icko-baktor is gone. Jeff says he gots lucky, we say we did cuz we like Jeff and we want to keep him around fur a very long time.
Oh, and I forgave Speedy fur his unfortunate mistake on Saturday of whapping me in da face. He brawt Little Pink Piggy into da big bed and stuck him right in my paws...sometimes my brofur isn't as dumb as he looks...hehehe

I'm so glad about the news about Jeff. He sounds like he would be nice to keep around for a while.

Zippy, I'm glad you forgave Speedy, sometimes accidents do happen (although I don't tell that to Kavan too often).

We are so glad that Jeff is going to be okay - it is hard to find good help (plus, loved ones who love you are even more rare).

Zippy, we are glad that you forgave Speedy. We know it was just an accident, and he seemed really sorry about it.

That is good news about Jeff! We hope the cancer is gone and stays away! Our mom's dad is a prostate cancer survivor, and our dad's mom is a breast cancer survivor. We hope they find a cure for all cancers some day.

We're so glad that Jeff is very grandly getting better! Our gramma has lymphoma but it's so small dat her Dr. just wants her to wait it out until it grows (too small to remove).
