Mancat Monday

*sigh* We is gonna hafta go home today...I gess it will be nice to see all our old familiar stuff but I like it here at the cabin. We hafta haf some truth in advertising here, dat piksher of da cat run is what Jared, da kitty spoiling nefew, emailed to mom to show her da run. It was taken after dey moved it early last fall. Der is no leaves on da trees, just buds. It's really nice when der is sunshine and only a little breeze but da first day out der it kept getting windier and windier and finally we all crowded into the corner where the tree blocked some of the wind! Even Alfred wanted in when it gots windy. We haf played lots of fun games like Thundering Herd (even Alfred played) and whap da mouse unner da stove and laff when mom "fetches" it. Da best game of all was hang from da screens on da porch! Mom kept yelling and Jared told her "oh, Shelly's cats do that all summer" cuz da guy dat owns da place has 5 cats and 2 ferrets so he put "pet proof" screening in. Mom also brawt along our cubes and tunnel and a cuppul of our toys. Oh, when we first got there they hadda uncover all the furniture, take big sheets of plastic off da beds and put on sheets and turn the water back on...den dey took out da big sucky monster and chased us all around wif it! Okay, Alfred sez I should tell yoo about all da aminals dat we haf seen either from the screen porch and da cat run...We saw
Ducks dat were green and some dat was brown
Skwerrels
little brown birds
big black birds
a peacock (who was prancing around showing off his tail!)
a cardinal
da groundhog fambly dat lives unner da pole barn
a fat oranch cat dat lives in da next house and is not frendly (he wasn't suppose to be outside and his mommy yelled at him for hissing at us)
a skinny gerl walking a little dog
a tall boy on rollerblades (but mom sez he wouldn't be dat tall if he din't haf da wheels on his feet)
more ducks, but deze were all white
and lots of mousies, voles and bugs!
So, here is da big thing, da man dat owns it wants to sell and he wants to sell it to someone in da fambly...and dad says he would buy it but we would need extra money and mom sez she would get a job if dey decided dey really want to buy it! It's only a 45 minit drive from our house and we was really good on da drive up and only cried a little bit at first and den we just went to sleep in our carriers as soon as we stopped making all dem turns and bounceing in da potholes. So mom is gonna start looking fur a jobbie and dey is gonna talk and talk and talk some more about buying but yoo know what....it don't really matter who in da fambly buys it we is always gonna be welcome to go der and enjoy ourselfs and if we do buy it effuryone else would be welcome too!
Here is what I plan on doing when we get home...

Wow, you guys sure had an exciting weekend! The cabin sounds neat!

I never get to go anywhere, sigh. The only place I have been besides my own home is Grandpa's. When Mum had new floors installed at our house we spent a week at Grandpa's. It was kinda fun.

That would be neat if you got to go to the cabin alot!

That sounds like a pretty magical place to spend time! Lots of stuff to see, fresh air, and a short drive! What's not to love?
I hope it all works out for you guys!
ps - I think that the "chicken coop" has potential!

Looks like you had so much fun in the cabin that you are spending a day of resting up, good idea.
I need to know which of you are trying out for the part in CCSI III? I don't want to make a mistake. Since parts are limited I can only have one per blog try out. Please get back to me as soon as you can and let me know, thanks.

What adventures you had! We saw a groundhog once at our Uncle's house. Mom never saw one before she thought it was a beaver. We all laughed at her, because we said, mom, beavers don't live in the suburbs of Budd Lake, NJ. That's just an enormous groundhog. It was the size of a medium sized dog!! Silly mom, she's a city girl. She only sees pigeons, rats, and ugly squirrels.

Wow! What a great place! Sounds like all of you had a wonderful time there :-)

I hope it works out that your Mom and Dad are able to have this as your second home. If not, as you said, you can still visit.
