Wacky Wednesday

Yes, I think I see the problem with this exhaust hood right here...
Mom wanted to know what I was doing on da stove, den dad sed "Speedy, yoo have to have a saddle to ride the range". Yeah, he cracks himself up. The truth is, I've never been up here afore and just wanted to see what was up der. Mom wanted to jump right up and make me get down, but dad wanted to take pikshers...dad gots one piksher den mom made me get off. It's okay, der wasn't anything dat intristing up der anyway.

Oh no, you've got to be careful if the stove is hot you could burn yourself! Did you enjoy your trip up there? Looks like something caught your attention - it couldn't have been THAT uninteresting! :)

Maggie likes to jump up on the counter beside the stove to snoopervise Mom when she's cooking. But mom is always puts her down on the ground because once she walked across the stove. Luckily, it wasn't on.

Note from JMC's mom - Speedy you need to be very careful. Stoves are very hot and can hurt you. I'm sure your mom and dad already told you that, but please be very careful!!

Mom HATES it when we get on that thing! We have a flat one too, and she worries we might jump on it when it is still hot. Of course we would never do that....

It looks pretty slick up there, like we wouldn't be able to get any traction. It does look intriguing, though!

It's good to see another Snoopervisor is on the job!! Just be careful you don't jump up there while the stove is hot.

Man, I'm scared of stoves, Speedy. Nasty things like pills and claw trims happen on the high spots in our kitchen. So we avoid them like the plague. I'm not sure what a plague is, but it's something you avoid really hard.

Our hood thing is "broken" or really just not installed properly as it vents into the house. Great job previous owners! I've never tried climbing on it, let me know how that goes!

Good job doing the household inspections, Speedy! We have that kind of cereal at our house too. It's dad's favorite.

We're not supposed to be on the stove either. But there's always something to snoopervise there. Grrrr

You shouldn't be up there, you could get hurt.

Mom does not like us on the stove either. Trixie likes to use it as a short cut. You could get your feets burned.

Don't the humans realise that you are feline and therefore able to access ALL arears of the home and inspect at your leisure? Hmm? Honestly! These silly humans! x

Why don't beans get that curiosity & the cat thing?

Anonymous said...

I like to jump up on things to it's fun to explore.

Aren't humans strange that way? My little brother MaoMao was chewing on Mom's trinket box the other day, and of course Mom doesn't want him to chew it up, but she had to get a picture of him doing it before she made him quit. *giggle*

I like to jump up onto things, too! Exploring is so much fun.

Yoo haf to be keerful up there, cuz when I wuz a little boy I jumped up on the woodburner and burnt all my pads. It reely hurt. I bet that stove would git hotter than the woodburner so it would reely reely hurt.

Hey there cowboy--look out for burners or you might get branded, hahahhahaha!

Be careful with that thing. I got my toesies burned walking across that thing. Mum is furry careful to keep the hot top restricted. Plus I never jump directly onto this thing, but to the countertop first.

Annie likes to walk across our range. But since Maw does very little cooking on the range top (mostly oven, microwave and grill), it's rarely on.

We'll be interested to hear what your naybur tells your mom. Glad to hear also that the other cats leave the one who used to fight with them alone now after he went blind. Right now, Dorf is still occasionally chasing Obi and Reno, so we're still dealing with that problem. Your nayburs howse must be VERY interesting! Those are some special needs babies!

I like to walk across the stove, but it makes mom bean very nervous. So I do at night. A mousie got in a cupboard over the stove once and I alerted my bean to its presence. You never know what might be up there in those dark corners.

Inspecting things is a very important part of being a house cat.

Mosaic Cats said...

Oh Boy...The three smart ones of us who have been around a while know better than to jump up on any counters or stoves. But Annie, the new intruder, does not. Yet. Mosaic Lady is terrified she will burn herself since we have one of those weird range top things with no burners that is part of a counter. And it takes FOREVER for it to cool down. Hopefully she will learn her lesson one day when it is almost cool but warm enough to startle her.
